End-to-End Device Lifecycle Management

Onboarding and Deployment

As soon as a device is prepared by IT, it can be onboarded into the system and made available through self-service points. Charge-Based Deployment ensures each user is automatically issued the device with the highest level of charge, eliminating manual checks and reducing downtime.

Smart, Verified Returns

When a device is returned, the system only marks the loan as complete once:

  • The device is plugged in.
  • The locker door is closed.

Until both actions are completed, the device remains on loan to the user and isn’t added back into the available pool. This prevents devices from being left on desks, misplaced or returned incorrectly, and maintains continuity of service without staff intervention.

With compatible USB-C devices, the system can also check that the correct make and model have been returned and connected for charging, helping to prevent mix-ups and loss.

Maintenance, Refresh and End-of-Life

Throughout its lifecycle, each device carries a full history of:

  • Who has used it and when
  • Which locker locations has it been issued from
  • Its charge status and availability over time

This helps you identify devices that need maintenance or replacement and supports secure wipe, redeployment or environmentally responsible disposal when they reach end-of-life.
