Asset Loaning
With seamless integration between, our software, firmware, charging and locking systems, our Smart Lockers are the most robust solution available when loaning assets to users.
Especially when loaning devices such as laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets. Users can help themselves to the assets they need to carry out their tasks when and where they want with no staff interaction required.
Full control of your loans
Our lockers allow you to have complete control over what access your users are allowed. User permissions can be set by the administrator easily. This can be carried out at the lockers or remotely.
Permissions can give you control over what items can be loaned to individual users or groups of users, for what time, whilst administrators can see at a glance what devices have been loaned and those that are due back or overdue.
All this information is displayed via our Smart Locker Dashboard which can be shared across multiple locations. Alternatively, our full suite of API’s allows you to integrate any existing solutions and take control of your users, assets, groups, lockers, and smart-locker services.
Custom Rules
Completely customisable loan rules can be set by administrators such as length of loans, issue fines for late returns, block users and set-up grace periods when returning items.

Reservations
Devices can be reserved for a short period of time. A user can go online to reserve an item to ensure that when they arrive at that location there is a device waiting for them.
If they don’t collect the device within a given timeframe, then the device is automatically released back into the locker system ready for other users to borrow.
Bookings
Bookings can be done in two ways: Staff can make block bookings of multiple devices i.e. class or team sets to ensure that devices are available at a specific date and time.
Users themselves can pre-book a device such as a laptop, Chromebook or tablet for a set time. If the user does not collect the device within a set time period, then the device is automatically released back into the locker system ready for other users to borrow.

Accessibility
Locker bays can be marked as accessible bays for users who are unable to reach high or low lockers.
If an accessible bay is required toggle the wheelchair icon on the touch screen before making your asset selection. If no accessible items are available, the user is given the choice to take a device from another locker or to seek help.
Asset Traceability
LapSafe®’s unique patented SmartLine™ charging allows traceability of your assets such as laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets. Charging is integrated into the borrow and return process to ensure the best charged device is always loaned.
Our SmartLine™ power management ensure that we can detect when a device has been borrowed or returned.
