The LapSafe® Self Service Laptop Loan Survey

In 2019, LapSafe® Self-Service Solutions are proud to support a huge 20,000 laptop loans per day in our intelligent charging lockers. Supporting students and staff across ten countries and four continents. LapSafe® truly are the global solution to self-service device loans.

The LapSafe® Survey 2019 gave us the opportunity to build up an informative picture of a community of users who have been able to enhance their work environments and diversify the services they provide. Freeing up staff time has helped university librarians spend more face to face time with students as manually loaning laptops was extremely time consuming.

60% of UK universities have now automated their laptop loans and 91% have chosen to do so by installing the Diplomat® solution. 100% of the users would recommend the LapSafe® solution to others and 75% have expanded their self-service lockers since their first installation.

Providing a self-service laptop loan service has helped universities bridge the digital gap, providing everyone with the same opportunities throughout their education. Loaning laptops rather than fixed PCs has opened up space to support collaborative learning. Self-service allows students, libraries, and universities to work together in creative productive, agile and inspirational environments.
