Ysgol y Preseli is a bilingual comprehensive 11-18 school situated in the village of Crymych, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Established in 1958 the school developed to be the first bilingual school in Pembrokeshire, known as “Ysgol Gyfun Ddwyieithog y Presell “
In March 2013 aware of their reputation for supporting UK schools. Serena Davies, Co-ordinator of Prosiect eDdysg @ Ysgol y Preseli, contacted LapSafe® asking for support with a special festival event that the school was set to take part in. Serena also desperately needed the ability to store a set of iPads securely and effectively, without the needing to connect all the iPads to individual plug sockets. On hearing Serena’s inspiring story, the senior management team at LapSafe® felt the need to support the school and donated a Traveller ™ case for iPads, to store, charge and sync the iPads. Before using the Traveller™ the school physically carried all the iPads to a locked room with CCTV coverage to keep them safe, which was quite a distance from where they were needed. The iPads are generally used in the Geography and IT classrooms with the possibility of using them in other areas of the school including the lifelong learning centre.
Serena who is currently employed by both the school and Pembrokeshire Learning authorities said
