LapSafe® launch their new FLEX™ range at Bett 2019
The industry’s’ experts in powering smart technologies, LapSafe® Self Service Solutions Ltd, will once again be returning to the Bett Show 2019 for the 19th Year. Since the start of this millennium LapSafe® has led the way in managing the storage and charging of devices in volume within the education sector.
This year, as well as showcasing their self-service locker range and their mobile storage and charging solutions, they will be launching a brand-new flexible locker range. The LapSafe® FLEX™ range of personal storage and charging lockers are designed to support agile working by maximizing workspace and allowing users to access individual charging locker bays at any time.
As a result of feedback from Bett 2018 and a high number of requests from LapSafe® customers, LapSafe® has developed their new FLEX™ range. Whilst still in the final stages of development, demand was so high that Haringey Sixth Form College located in Tottenham, expressed a huge interest and agreed to be LapSafe®’s first install. Haringey Sixth Form were in the process of re-developing their Innovation Centre to improve the IT facilities available to their students. John Mansfield- Head of Campus and Estates at Haringey Sixth Form and a team of designers headed up their project.
John explains, “A decision was made to redevelop the area around the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). Initially, we looked at putting different types of laptop trolleys in the space, and although this worked well in other areas across our college, we wanted this new space to be different. We chatted to those redesigning the space together with LapSafe® and we liked the idea of installing LapSafe®’s newly designed Flex™ lockers. Together with the college’s fixed PC’s these lockers would be ideal and make it easy for students to borrow laptops plus they looked so much better. The new flexible locker range offers a choice of chassis and door sizes. Inside each charging bay is a UK* mains socket and a twin USB socket. LapSafe®’s ultra-safe power management ensures that all devices are charged simultaneously in the fastest possible time. The power management system offers three key areas of protection; soft start, surge and residual voltage. The lockers can be used to store belongings and also charge devices such as mobile phones, laptops and tablets. The locker doors and shelves can be configured to suit individual needs and an unlimited number of locker towers can be installed, making this a very flexible solution. LapSafe® will be showcasing the new FLEX™ locker range at the Bett Show on stand E130. The Bett Show is 23rd – 26th January 2019 at ExCel, London and is the perfect opportunity for educators and exhibitors alike to meet up, share ideas and learn.
