The response to the competition has been tremendous and we’ve received entries via the post and through email right up until the closing date of 30th April. LapSafe® would like to say a great big thank you to the 4,000+ primary and SEN pupils who entered our TECHBOT Art Competition and to the hundreds of wonderful teachers who took the time to sort out and send in their artwork.
We have spent the last few days sorting, arranging and putting the entries up so every single one can be viewed by our judge. The judging is taking place today and Friday, at the LapSafe® Head Office; the winning school will be contacted early next week to arrange the prize giving. Once the winners have been informed we will then make our official announcement via our website www.lapsafe.com and through the media.
When Paul arrived at our offices this morning he was stunned and overwhelmed with the amount of entries, the quality of the designs and the range of creativity. When asked what he would be looking for in particular he replied, “I am looking for a robot design with a really clear purpose and imagination. It will be good to see children that are looking at a robot in a slightly different way when designing them. It has been so exciting seeing entries from nursery, infants and junior and primary schools. Some of the children have designed their robot on computer, some children used collage and lots of children created theirs by hand using pens, pencils and paints which is fantastic. What comes over very clearly is that they have all spent a long time designing their robot.”
As you can see from the photos we’ve had some amazing entries and it’s going to be a really tough decision for Paul and the LapSafe® Team.
