04.10.2005

A 28-year-old man was left shaken after being robbed of an £1,800 laptop in Sutton.

The victim was walking along Grove Road towards Sutton station at 11.30am on September 20, when a man came from behind riding a silver or chrome BMX.

The cyclist grabbed hold of the man's black computer shoulder bag and a struggle ensued before the robber rode off down St James Road in the direction of Cheam Road.

Inside the computer bag was a silver Packard Bell laptop, mouse and disks.

The robber was about 15 and was wearing a navy blue hooded top and light blue jeans.

If you have information about the identity of the suspect or the whereabouts of the laptop call Detective Constable Nick Davidson on 020 8649 0662 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
