Gove calls for video gaming in schools
11.07.2011
Education Secretary, Michael Gove, has expressed the need for the widespread use of technology in the classroom.
Giving speeches on two separate occasions, Gove called for technological reform in UK schools, and emphasised that video games will become a vital educational tool. According to Education Executive, the recent talks were given to the Royal Society and the National College and underlined the need to embrace technological innovation in the school system.
Responding to the growing use of educational video gaming within schools and colleges, LapSafe® Products has launched the portable USB Charging Case to safely charge multiple gaming devices, including the Nintendo DSi. The LapSafe® USB Charging Case has been designed for ease of use and can be configured to suit specific makes and models of USB devices.
The USB charger features 16 individual built-in cables to charge a maximum of 16 gaming or other USB devices simultaneously in the fastest possible time. Each lead uses low voltage (5 volts) charging, and is individually fused for safety. Manufactured to meet all British safety standards, the USB charging device is also supplied with a two meter mains lead with a 5amp fuse.
As with all products manufactured under the LapSafe® brand, the USB Charging Case/DSi charger is independently CE Certified.
