Science and mobile IT are top priorities for schools
5 September 2011
Science will be a top priority for schools this new academic year, according to a study by Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Raising exam standards, integrating technology into school practice and school discipline also featured in the list of school concerns for 2012, with 10 per cent of teachers claiming that the encouragement of maths and science will be the main focus.
Schools also mentioned that they are keen to shift to mobile learning, with the iPad becoming a popular device amongst pupils.
To aid the focus on science in UK schools, education specialist LapSafe® Products has launched the ExplorerLAB™ mobile science lab, a fully mobile science laboratory and teaching platform to deliver interactive chemistry, physics and biology. The mobile science cart comes complete with all of the equipment that you would expect to find in a traditional fixed laboratory, including a fully functioning sink and tap, compacted into a mobile trolley.
LapSafe® Products has also launched the UnoCart™ for iPads charging trolley to enable schools to store, charge and sync apps to the popular tablet PC. The iPad charging trolley is built to far exceed the capabilities of its rivals at a competitive price, charging all devices horizontally to protect the iPads inside.
