25.03.2011
Laptops, mobile phones and sat navs are just some of the items stolen from police in Berkshire during a period of three years.
A colossal 76 items were taken between 2007 and 2010, with the full value of the haul undisclosed by police officials. Amongst the loot were four police laptops, a police radio and warrant cards.
In total, 40 items were stolen from police stations and vehicles in Berkshire West, which includes Wokingham, while 36 were stolen from Berkshire East, which includes Bracknell.
It is reported that thieves targeted police officers while they were dealing with other incidents, as well as stealing items from police stations and vehicles.
