LapSafe® Security cables provide high visibility protection for laptops, LCD projectors, TFT screens and other valuable IT and audio-visual equipment. Use individual security cables with laptops stored in a LapSafe® cabinet, or ensure security when laptops are taken out of the cabinet or off-site. Each cable is fitted with an anti-drill lock and a range of key options that allows students to hold individual keys and teaching staff to hold a master key. The cable itself is manufactured from high tensile steel.
Whilst on the move, the security cable secures the laptop to any solid or fixed object, such as a radiator or desk. Cables are lightweight, completely portable and easy to fit.
Laptops are easy picking for many thieves, whether opportunist or organised. Small, light and often untraceable, IT equipment is everywhere – in schools, colleges, universities, in your office, in your car, and in your home. All the thief needs to do is pick it up and walk away. Once the hard drive is wiped clean there will be little to identify your equipment from thousands of others.
